If you're going to switch religions you should at least objectively review its origins and its claims. Then you should consider why Christianity is a problem for you and look at the other religion to see if it would solve those problems. For example, Christianity want you to witness to others, Islam doesn't on the other hand Islam wants you to kill unbelievers... (that may be a overstatement). If you find that Christianity has too many rules and restrictions, Islam is much worse.
From the authenticity point of view, Islam has two holy sites that they believe date back to Abraham, but both the "Rock" and Mecca had no significance before the 5th century CE and Mecca was only founded 200 years before that.
Basically Islam ranks like 4th on the "Blatantly made up meter"

in order to be a religious person, first thing you gotta do is to respect all religion, and others views. i am a Muslim girl.
start with getting a copy of quraan, and just read it, and see if you truly know what it says, and just go trough it. if you really find that’s the right religion for you, then you can go to and officially become Muslim. Becoming Muslim is easy, BUT to be a good Muslim is hard.good luck

Islam and Christianity share a lot of basic ideas .They both call for humanity to be good.The basic difference is in the different interpretation for the nature of Jesus.Islam considers him as a a highly respected profit and believes that he was not actually killed by the Jews ,God elevated him to heaven and made them believe they killed him.Modern Christians as you know believe that Jesus is God (or his son)
