Good soldier Svake:
From ancient times the priests of one side blessed the cannons and the rifles, praying that their side prevailed... The soldiers of each side stood and listen how God would help them cut their opponents throat....

No, I don't hate people, usually :)
Yet, there are atheists who hate, one could go to the persecutions seen in the French Revolution or even to some grumpy neighbor. Being an atheist does not immunize you against hate or racism. It simply means you don't believe in God and that allows for a good range of ideologies and stances in life.

As a matter of fact He does the opposite.
To the poster above.
When God said to hate your mother ,father etc. he was not saying to hate anyone. He was making a point that you must LOVE GOD FIRST above all others. And He does not say to hate non believers.Jesus would never hate anybody and we must follow his example. You cannot love God and hate any human being .If you love one ,you love the other. If you hate one, you hate the other.

No God does not make people hate people. Sin makes people hate people. People who have no higher power are the ones who hate. People who trust in God know that there is a reason for everything.

peace be upon you
No , my God don't make me hate people .
The God asked me to respect all peoples whatever was their religion.
the God said to our prophet Mohammed ,that he can't force people to enter Islam .
if the God want all people muslims , he will do.
and said "there is no compulsion in religion"
you have the absolute freedom to enter Islam or not , but you have to respect me and my religion which call people to the good.
we aren't asked to hate each other at all, but the only thing between us is love and respect to create peace .
The God ask us to look around "medititation in the universe" to see his Greatness and ability.

No, because God does not teach us to hate.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Now..How does that translate to hate ?

Jesus tells us basically only to hate those who will not follow him. Some will point out the sections in the bible where Jesus tells us to hate our families but it seems to me he is probably only talking about when our families are non believers. This is typical of how atheists twist Jesus's words assuming Jesus spoke about hating our families in general when he probably only meant non believers.
"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26)
"I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." (Matthew 10:35-36)
"But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." (Luke 19:27.

All religions ask people to love each other and love their neighbors .All atrocities made in the name of religions were against God's will and were caused by fanatics who call themselves Men of God.Atheists also made wars and caused atrocities.

My God is not a God of Hate but a God of LOVE!!!
It is only the evil in a man's heart that directs him to the path of HATRED!
Stop pointing the finger outwards...Point inwards!
God Bless!
