Some are and others suffer from limbic epilepsy, so church is a good place to have their seizures.

These people decide to go to these revivals during a seizure at home and when they wake up at the revival they start hamming it up by faking a seizure just to keep from being noticed and made fun of. The odds of seeing a real seizure at a revival are about the same as it would be at seeing one at a Health Spa.

I believe its a form of hyptomism. If you ever seen Reveen in action you would get your answer. Not all people can be hyptomized i for one cannot but a great majority can. A minister with no scruples will use anything to make money these schisters are big time in some areas. Some doctors will use hyptomism to treat thier patients for a number of maladies

I guess you are talking about Evangelists who touches someone and the person being healed faints!

Honestly..I don't believe in these kind of healings. In the bible when Jesus heals someone he utters that healing word and the person is healed....but didn't faint or has a seizure!

What we see is purely drama and nothing SPIRITUAL...or HOLY if I may say!

I am a Christian and it makes me sick to the stomach to see people make a lot of money by using God's name!

Some people may be real, and some just be caught up in the emotion of the moment, suseptable to suggestion and acting out according to expectation. As far as telling the difference, I don't know.

Mass hysteria is a funny thing. It happened at the crucifixion (if there was one) and it happens now. Yeah, they're camera wh0res.

Telling the difference is easy: If they look humiliated after the episode, it's epilepsy. "Oh my god I had a fit on CAMERA?!"

If they look relieved, it's hysteria.

Faith healers are frauds. The bible says that all the sign gifts, tongues, healing, handling serpents, drinking poison have ceased. 1 Cor 13. Too much money is being made to really follow the bible. Today's modern christian don't want to hear that their church is doing wrong so they have to accept that God must be wrong (one has to be). go to jamesknox.com and get the book signs wonders & miricles and you will be amazed.

I've known people who DID JUST EXACTLY THAT every time a big revivalist came to town!

And a lot of this 'slain in the Spirit' stuff looks pretty Pavlovian to me......

It's mass hypnotism. Haven't you ever seen a hypnotist somewhere? You can make almost anyone do anything under hypnosis!
