i'm pagan with an atheist spouse. he attends ritual with me, but doesn't participate. he comes for the good food, good friends and good times - not the religious aspect of it.

it get complicated at pagan festivals. again, he comes to hang out with friends, but he doesn't attend workshops or seminars, which most of us do. so i either go to the workshops and leave him by himself (if everyone else is at workshops too) or i miss out on them. usually we comprimise and i go to some and don't go to other ones.

drumming and dancing is a big part of pagan life, and he doesn't do either. so again, he is left out, or i'm left out.

this doesn't really effect our relationship, but it does affect how many festivals i we attend. i would like to fest all summer long, but we usually only go to 2 big ones.

p.s. his family is catholic and very accepting of me

It doesn't affect any which way.Religion is a very small part of our life. There are so many other things where we have different tastes and likings and like with them ,we adjust here as well.

Well..not in my case,& I don't understand why they say so..they might be attracted initially, but two people have to have a lot of things common in b/w them to maintain a stable relationship.
