Immersion in the language. If you can't go to an English speaking country and surround yourself with the language, then find others in your own country who speak English and converse with them as much as possible.

I want to learn Spanish and have put years in seeking the right method. When it comes to acquiring a language, the question is what works for you? Everyone learns differently. I have learned that the classroom no longers works for me. I need to be around persons who speak the language in order to practice it, so I moved to El Paso.

The ONLY thing I know for CERTAIN is that if you do not PRACTICE, it is impossible to become fluent. Practice makes perfect.

Play PC or other games. Sooner or later you will get stuck and need a walkthrough. Since almost everyone is in english you will improve fast while having fun! Or ... Get a boyfriend/girlfriend from another country. This is also a very good way to learn. ; - )

Practice, practice, and more practice.
Take time.
Be patient.
Don't give up - even when you can't remember something you thought you already learned.
Find a language partner who will take time to talk with you and correct your mistakes.
Listen, Listen, Listen - talk
Don't worry if you don't always say it right.
Keep trying.
You can do it! :-)
