Nothing at all for 24-36 hours to give the gut time to settle down then small amounts of rice and baby food or boiled hamburger or turkey.Feed often, 3-4 times a day. I use Kaopectate or Immodium plus PURE canned pumpkin also. After the dog's stool is normal then sloooowly introduce dog food in small amounts over a week until he is eating just reg dog food.

How long has this been going on for? It is probably a good idea to go see the vet. Long periods of diarrhea can lead to dehydration.

As far as a home remedy goes, sometimes it is best to let there bodies rest and fast them for 12-24 hours (using an electrolyte supplement added to your dogs drinking water can help during this time). Then a bland diet of chicken/rice is good.

Sounds like a change of food is in order. Fast him for 24 hours. But first, you can feed him a sweet potato. Cut the ends off and cook it in the microwave, cut it up and let it cool. Sweet potato's will fix diarrhea. You can give him phayzyme gel tabs for the gas. (simithecone).
But fix the problem at the core and change his food. Choose a food with no more then 2 grains listed in the first 5 ingredients.
Make sure you provide plenty of fresh water so he does not become dehydrated and do NOT give him any meds to stop the diarrhea. That is the bodies natural way of ridding its self of toxins. You do not want to interfere with that process.

Just cooked rice and boiled hamburger or chicken. You may want to take it off feed for the day. Call a vet too because it could be something more serious. Feed it a food with less grain in it after it stops.

Sorry but, turkey creates more gas. Have you ever been around the family after Thanksgiving? NO TURKEY

Try rubbing his tummy to relax him when he has colic if this doesn't work try pating him on the back with him held high under the arms leaning with his chest in your hand. this should bring up a good burp. There are also drops that you can buy at the drug store for colic . Talk to your Doctor he maybe having a hard time digesting his formula, and need a change. Is he getting a lot of air when he feeds? try a different type of bottle How often is he eatting? If he is very hungry he maybe getting a lot of air as he feeds. Try feeding him a little at a time and more often. good luck and God Bless you and your baby

Have you considered talking to your vet? My dogs had a bout of this about a month ago. After talking to my vet and other dog enthusiasts around here, I found out that there was some kind of "bug" going around that came in this form. We were given a broad range antibiotic that also covered some known parasites and my dogs were done with this within a day or two of starting the meds.

I would consult your vet.

Give him plain boiled chicken, no beef, and Canikur (they are food supplement tablets special for diarrhea), this really woks. If it doesn't work in 2 days, he may need medication.

Have you tried the chewable Pepto-Bismol? This might help. My dog gets an upset stomach sometimes and throws up. I give him 1 of the chewable tablets and it seems to help him. Maybe it would help yours.

My dogs get the runs if feed them stuff like that. I would feed him a premium dry food eg royal canin or Advance that's what i feed my dogs and the don't have a problem anymore.
