Hi, well I stayed home from high school today against her will... She IS a psycho. She will just scream and scream and then cry and try to act like the victim and scream some more... then she'll throw stuff at me and kick me and tell me to go to 'daddy'... my father would beat me when I was younger and do horrible stuff to me and for her to say that, especially since today is his birthday, to me is wrong... what can I do to tell her why I stayed home today and why I can't stand her... I have no one to talk to or anything.... So your advice will be taken seriously,

I really feel for you, my mums mental too.
I find a good way is to give as good as I get, parents seem to think that they have a right to push you around for the rest of you life and you have to show them that in order to get respect from you they have to show you respect. If she screams, scream back. I know it sound harsh but she has to realise that shouting and being violent towards you will only make matters worse and in the end she could lose you. As for staying off school, I wouldnt recommend it but in future just dont tell her.

Write everything down clearly on a piece of paper explaining how you feel about all that and give it to her and make her read it. Tell her you won't take anymore of her crap and that you're thinking of moving out or calling Child Care or something... might get her scared enough to listen to you, OR might get her psycho again. Worth a try.

Your mother should be diagnosed for depression It sounds like she has more on her plate than she can handle She is not pyscho she is depressed Most people do not relize they are depressed I suggest she go to her doctor and get tested for depression if she can not afford it there are places who do it for free Once she is medicated properly she will feel better about herself and her family You need to talk to a counselor about the abuse you suffered in the hands of your father you need to heal these wounds before you enter adult hood Please watch the latest Oprah on depression it will give all the signs

call social services, then someone will come out and investigate the problem! if it's bad enough they'll move you with another non-psychotic family member

You can't control your mom's behavior, but you can control yours. Its early yet, get your behind to school. End of drama.
