Is it AUSLANDER or AUSLÄNDER? I've seen it spelled both ways and would like to know which is correct.

The correct one is Ausländer= foreigner.

Many people forget to put the umlaut (¨) so maybe thats why you ve seen it written both ways

Ausländer is the correct spelling in German, however, it is accepted, if you write Auslaender, if you do not have the Ä on your computer, but, than don't forget the e after the a, in any case the e replaces the two dots (the same goes for Ü - ue and Ö - oe).
