can anyone help translate numbers fifty-one, fifty-two and ninety-two in French? Is it cinquante un, cinquante deux, neufante deux?

Neufante is NOT Canadian! Canadians say quatre-vingt-dix for 90, quatre-vingt-douze for 92, just like the French. (And soixante-dix for 70, etc.)
All Swiss use septante for 70 and nonante for 90, but 80 can be quatre-vingt, huitante, or ottante (maybe it's octante).

Note: The conjunction et (and) is used only for the numbers 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, and 71 . In all other compound numbers through 99, et is dropped, and a hyphen is used.

To form 90 to 99, use quatre-vingt plus 10, 11, 12, and so on.
For quatre-vingts (80) and the plural of cent (100) for any number above 199, drop the s before another number, but not before a noun .

91 - quatre-vingt-onze
92 - quatre-vingt-douze

After you get to 80 you have to use 4 times 20 or quatre vant and then the word for 12 to get 92 quatre vant deux

There is no s after Quatre-vingt unless it is the number 80.
In a sentence "un" becomes "une" in front of a feminine word, (as in "Les contes de mille et une nuits", the famous storybook).
Septante (70): Octante (80) and Nonante (90) are used in Walloon Belgium, Luxembourg and the French speaking canton of Switzerland.

Edit for Joannah. Our answers must have been posted around the same time as I had not seen yours when I typed mine. My answer is simply factual and offers reference points.
It is really sad that some people take exception to native French people answering English questions on their own language and automatically give them thumbs down or pile on the insults just on the strength of their nationality. And being a teacher seems also to be the ultimate sin. Shame!

in belgium we say :
Cinquante et un
Quatre-vingt un
Nonante-deux
Only 70 and 90 are different with France
70 in france is soixante-dix and in belgium : septante
90 in france is quatre-vingt dix, in belgium nonante

(1) Numbers meaning something-one (21,31,41,51 etc) have "et" which disappears with other units: so: cinquante-et-un, BUT cinquante-deux, cinquante-trois, etc)
(2) "neufante" is, I believe a Canadianism. In France, 80 is quatre-vingts and 90 is quatre-vingts-dix. In Switzerland and Belgium they say "huitante" and "nonante" respectively.
