personally speaking, i've overdosed a few times when i was younger, i took a lot of tablets- panadols being one type. its not a very pleasant experience
first off its disgusting even trying to swallow all those tablets......secondly, you dont just die straight away, obviously the more quantities of it you take the faster acting. after awhile you start feeling sleepy&a sick feeling in your stomach like you want to get sick, if you dont alert someone or if someone doesnt find you within a certain amount of time, you could potentially have long term damage or it could be too late for the doctors to reverse the damage, and you would die a very painful death where you would go into liver failure....thirdly, if you are found or you go to A+E, getting your stomach pumped is so awful, from what i can remember they put a tube down your nose that goes down into your stomach, i suspose to suction out whatevers in there and then they put water down the tubes to wash it out, its vile!! it doesnt stop there they then make you drink a bottle of charcol, its disgusting, its like grit in your mouth, and then basically you vomit up black stuff all day...
in hindsight, there were better ways to deal with my problems than that, but at the time i didnt feel i had anywhere to go. are you serious about taking an overdose?have you tried talking to anyone?if you couldnt talk to someone u know about it,what about calling the samaritans, they're very understanding. its a horrible place to be, wanting to take an overdose, a lot of the time you dont really want to kill yourself, just make people see how much your hurting. thankfully for me, its all a long time ago now. mind yourself x

Panadol is one of those pain relief medications that you can buy over the counter, and so it contains paracetamol. The normal dose of paracetamol is 500mg, and the max does is 2 tablets 4 times a day. This equates to 1000mg or 1g. Panadol is one of the medications that vary in strength, for example panadol extra, which has an increase in paracetamol dose. Overdoses in pain killers suppress systems within the body, for example the liver and kidney functions, and leads you into a downwards spiral. This is only for large overdoses. It also depends on how healthy the person is. This is all i know, hope it helps!

Not much. They are "lolly tablets". If they do affect you at all, you will suffer stomach cramps and vomiting, nothing else. I take 11 of them over 24 hours to reduce a migraine, and they hardly help but reduce it from migraine back to a headache, So no - you will be fine, just a little sick.
Did you take 8 tablets by accident, or are you looking for attention?

depends on each person, since body weight, age, body's functioning differs person-to-person. i've taken up to 17 and this is what i got:
- massive headache - this huge pounding in my head
- hazy thoughts - can't actually think properly
- extremely slow movements
- dizziness when standing too long
- sleepyness - hard to sleep with my headache
drink lots of water and try to do a little detox [ie no junk] so that your body can flush them out and you can function properly again. try to sleep and let your body heal itself.
i was lucky. you can:
- die
- fall into a coma
- get kidney problems
- become mentally disabled
- get ulcers

if you take to many
you will die a slow lingering death from kidney failure
so all in all not a good idea
better to go talk to someone about " why " you would even consider doing such a thing
please talk to someone !!!!!
all the best
