Yes i do.
If someone can benefit from my 55 year old heart,lungs, kidneys, eyes, etc, I think it's great!
My kids are totally supportive of my choice, and in fact are organ donors themselves.

My driver's license shows that I want to be an organ donor should I pass away and my organs can be harvested. My family knows this.
Be advised, however, that a donor card is not the final say. Your next of kin will be the one to make the final decision so make sure they are aware of your wishes. A donor card only makes medical personnel aware of your desire to be an organ donor.
I also have a living will and a medical directive. I am also on the bone marrow registry as a potential donor but I don't have to be dead to donate bone marrow.

No, I will never donate my organs for several reasons: People should not play god. If there is something wrong with a person (excluding accidents) and they need an organ to live, what happens if they pass that on to their children? it restarts the cycle with more people needing organs in the future, there is not enough natural selection these days.
So I won't give my organs nor will I take any one elses, (But you can have as much of my blood as you like, I can make more of that)

Here in Australia, or at least NSW, Australia, you can nominate to be a donor on your drivers license.
So yes, I do carry a donor card.

no i do not. i almost got one but then my friends mom told us that she has heard alot of stories among hospitals that if u have the organ donor card then sometimes they do not put in as much effort to save u if there is a shortage of whatever organs u have that are in good condition..i know it sounds nuts and its probably little rumors and myths that the hospitals have but id rather be safe then sorry....i was super freaked out even if it is a lie (which is probably is cuz that sounds crazy) but still...it was enough to cause me to freak out..no donor for me thanks

i carry my drivers license and it says i'm a donor on it. it has a pretty little red heart in the corner. pretty cool..
