Laws for legal window tints are different in each State, right?
So in order for your window tint to be 100% legal, would you have to change your window tint back and forth if you go from one State to another?

Or are your window tint requirements nationwide based on the State in which your car is registered?

Can't speak for the other 49 states in the Union but I can speak for mine (yeah, there are only 50 states). In North Carolina if you are driving a car registered in another state then you are exempt from enforcement of our tint laws. In other words if you are from NJ and your car is registered in NJ then I can not write you a citation for tint violation. It makes sense. If I drive from NC to FL and my windows are to dark for FL law then it would not really be fair to expect me to be aware of this.

The window tint laws are state laws. If you drive a car within a state and the car has more tint than legal in that state you could be cited.

You are not required to have the maximum tint allowed within your or any other state.

Check all the 52 states's Tint Level that is allowed, and Tint your car based on the Maximum Tint Allowed.

That will solve all yr problem

But i doubt you gonna drive yr car to Hawaii right?

You need to obey the laws of the state which you are in.

If the law of your state is that highways have a maximum speed of 65 mph and you go to another state where it is 55mph do you think that you could fight the ticket when you were going 65 mph?

You're subject to the laws of the state you are driving in.
For poster above:
Last time I looked we only had 50 states.
