Please help me with my career, what to do with my working life...?

My heart is very heavy right now. I have just talked with my employer and it seems I haven't been doing a satisfactory job.

Please, I ask for some sound, heartfelt advice. I have been hopping from one job to another, about six jobs in two years, the least is two months and ten months at max (whch was the first one, next to that is six months).

I do know I am not dumb. I am almost sure that when I get really motivated and challenged I enjoy a task. But my job choices so far have left me in a rut, often dissatisfying my employers and disappointing myself. I do not know. I do not know if I am supposed to enjoy a job, or do i already enjoy it...or do i hate it but stick on, but ends in work they don't like.

My biggest fear is to discover and realize I'm good for nothing.

The obvious path, they say, is to go with what I love doing. However, I think my problem is not identifying what it is I want to do. Its pathetic yes,

ONLY YOU can change your life and frankly attitude. If all you aspire to be is "good for nothing" then that is all you WILL be.

If your jobs leave you less than satisfied then go back to school and get more education and open up more opportunities.

Jesus I could almost have written what you wrote.

It isn't pathetic at all. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up-and I grew up a long time ago.

I would make a list of your skills, and your weaknesses. I would also look at what you enjoy doing and not enjoy. Also, what kind of education, training and skills do you have?

You may have some kind of mental illness by the way. There are some personality disorders that impede people from being fully successful. It also can make people dislike you or not understand you or not get along with you and vice versa.

If you are single without kids, you have one up on me. At least you only have to support yourself. Do not get pregnant! Kids will bankrupt you-literally.

Take some online tests that help in seeing what you have interests in and skills in.
Do a google search for career skills assessment or something like that.
Good luck.

As you say you have to decide what it is you love doing, you say you are in a rut, well that has been described as being in a grave with the ends kicked out, so get the ******* out of there.
Next question what are your dreams, what would you really like to be, do and have? Never worry about how you are going to achieve your dreams, just act as if you have already achieved them, why do I say this it is simple, thoughts become things, you need to get your thoughts into a positive attitude. For more information look up www.thesecret.tv
Now you are having positive thoughts, it is time that, what you desire, will fall into your hands.
As regards an income source get back to me by email or through my 360 profile and I will give you a web address of something which might be of interest.

You are not good for nothing. Everyone is good for something. Sometimes it is just hard to figure out what that is.

You need to sit down and think about what makes you happy.

What kinds of things make the time pass for you?
Would you rather work alone or on a team?
Would you rather be indoors or outdoors?
Would you rather carry out instructions or do something creative?
Would you rather work with adults or children?
Would you rather work with people or equipment?
Would you rather be at a desk or doing something active?

Instead of seeing yourself as a failure, consider your work history as experience in learning what you do NOT want to do for a living.

Don't be so hard on yourself!
