Every airline administers a company physical examination to every new-hire. During this exam, an airline is able to detect whether you lied on your application about your height, whether you have a drug or alcohol problem, or whether your past medical history shows anything adverse that would disqualify you from getting the job. Since you are given a urinalysis during this physical, it is very important that you inform the examiners of any medications you might be taking.

Its not so different from what it sounds like, its a medical examination to examine how you are physically. If you have any diseases or any medical problems that might make it difficult for you to fly or perform you job. I can't think of anything that would keep you out of the job off the top of my head, for pilots you can't fly at night if your colour blind and you can't fly at all if theres trouble with you ears or other things that connect to you understanding of gravity. I think there might be a couple things like major heart problems that may make it a danger for you to fly, obviously if your gonna have a heart attack every time you take off your not gonna get the job, but thats an extreme case and I think you would know by now if your looking into be a flight attendant.
