What beginning and what religion are you talking about?
Do you mean, why we did not explain the creation of earth, right from the start of humanity? Humanity was still struggling with its infancy during the primal age.

People in the past are less informed and thus, more prone to the fear, that was spread by the Church. There's always some sore uncle, which denounces the existence of God, but the majority would most probably either ignore the that guy, saying his crazy, or stone him for blasphemy.

However, with the ancient philosophers, you can see that they start questioning the existence of god, as well as our own existence.

Finally, what proof do you have that the creation was started out by God?
What about Zoroastariansum or Hinduism, which predated Christianity. What proof do you have, that Judaism is longer accurate? Other than your blind faith in your God/Jesus/Bible, you have no more right to assert your religion as the rightful one, as much as the others.

what do you mean by "the beginning"?

maybe it's got something to do with this type of christian love:

When a sinner had "blasphemed the holy name of god", or when he had perhaps told some truth about the local priest, it was customary to apply the holy trinity. The Iron mask was heated in an open fire until red hot, then put upon his head. The scourge, also red hot, was then applied to his back. After the mask had cooled, it was removed from the sinner, taking skin (and usually eyeballs) with it. The prisoner's mouth was then opened and red hot pincers were used to remove the prisoner's tongue.
It is interesting to note that the Holy Trinity was designed not to cause death, so that the maimed, blinded and mute prisoner could live out his days as a burden to his family and as a testimony to what happens when one lets his tongue wag too freely.

Sorry? Manifesting what religion?

It's hard to compete with lunatics who kill for their faith when you can't claim the backing of a mythical strong man.

Cowards? People who need the emotional and psychological crutch of religion are the cowards.

well now that was just silly... and atheism isn't *technically* a religion--it's a lack of belief in god. to be a religion it would have to require certain rituals and/or beliefs. the 'god believers' make such a huge deal about their religion(s) because they feel that they are doing the world a service by giving people a chance to escape hell. if atheists don't believe people are going to be tortured for eternity because they are not atheist, why make such a ridiculous to-do about telling people to become atheist?

Actually, in the beginning all are atheists .... then some mother fu*king bastard (Literally) justify their incestuous relationship by creating religion and created a omnipotent creature to justify their relationship.

It is all in the bible ..... read it ..... or had you not?

Becoming an Atheist is a matter of education and intellectual thinking. And that takes a while to develop.

We don't believe in religion...we don't have one...we were probably at home while everyone else was out building an arc or parting the Red Sea.

I bet the heretics, the blasphemers, the witches and any other opposition to religion that died for their beliefs would beg to differ.
