Friend it is God that makes a difference and not a man.
Seek God in his word and in prayer and in meditation.
Receive the gift that God gives you called faith.
Through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God.
It is God that delivers you, Not by your strength but through God's grace.
God is the one that makes the difference all men are sinners it is God that changes a man.
The Sacrifice has been made and the price has been paid.
Accept the atonement and trust God and believe God and receive the strength from God.
Do not condemn yourself but seek God.
Know that God is aware of our sin and that he has paid the price and he will make you new.

If your serious, then the very FIRST step you need to do is get a Bible...there are lots of great types of BIbles out there.
NIV, NKJ, ASB and even ones that REALLY simplify the Word of God, such as the Living Bible (paraphrased) or the Message. READ the BOOK!! Satan will flee from you, for he does NOT like to be in the presence of Jesus Christ.
The next thing you should do is find a GOOD Bible believing church in your area...sometimes that takes a little patience & trial & error...but keep READING & praying & allow God to lead you to a mainstream Bible believing church body.
They will (or should) come along side you, with prayers & any other type of help you may need.
God hears you...He wants you to come to KNOW Him...seek Him now while He may yet be found..but remember ..no matter what,..don't quit!..don't give in!, even when you fall down, & you will...we all do from time to time..it's part of our nature...but you just have to keep getting up with God's help.
The only sacrifice you must make is your time to READ the Bible. (which really can be a daily sacrifice sometimes!)
His Word is the BEST source to help you directly!
May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you brother, may you sincerely find the TRUTH and may it set you FREE!
This is from someone that has been where you are...with the exception that I am a woman, who was dealing with several addictions. But Jesus Christ has set me free..and I do NOT regret one moment of having Him be my LORD and Savior & my very best friend!

You can not destroy evil. It will be here until the appointed time. The best you can do is call upon God to lead you down the right paths in life and to protect you from being tempted.
You must be born again before you can hope to enter into the peace Christ brings. The Holy Spirit will guide. Learn to listen to Him and resolve to follow.

OK, Let it be Light.
Will You take me as one? For a moment ? Good, let the Spirit of God speaks here.
What You mention above is things of the World and in the eyes or law of the World it is not wrong. You can maintain all those things if you have the money and the time in this world.
If you hate all those things, although, you must admit, that it is pleasurable to your six senses, and many cannot get enough of it and will go to the extent to beg, borrow or steal, than you are being separated of this world by God, who at His Mercy, wishes to grant Grace to you so that you may be at the Heaven Gate and might be able to enter in righteousness.
All the above will be of the past when you die to the world and rise in the spirit of Jesus Christ. That means that you believe that Jesus died for your sins and raise you up as a new person, born of the spirit, that is the spirit of Holiness , therefore qualfied you to be the son of God. Sound Heavy?
Now, I shall come to You as a son of the world, if you can accept that I am one. For a moment, for your question sake since you did not specify which God. Let the Devil in me speak also.
All the above things belong to the God of this World, that is Satan or Lucifer as they call Him. This things are for the pleasure of His Children and He wishes you to enjoy the pleasure and Joy it gaves. What you need is more of this things and He will provide you with the cash so that you can sustain it till you pass of this world and be united with Him in His Kingdom beneath. All you have to do is denied Christ as the Lord and be His voice to the world. Worship Him and all this things will be given to you in seven times more.
Hear your Lord. Which one do you belong to.

Hi Undelbert, You have received some very good advice from djmantx.
If you are sincere God will help you with your problems if you ask Him. Remember He knows your heart and He will always respond to a cry for help if it is genuine.
We are encouraged to "...come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
Jesus says that, "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out." John 6:37.
You are on the road to recovery by your admission that your life has gone out of control, take courage fellow pilgrim, you are not alone.
I and many others who have seen your plea will now be praying for you.
Jesus promises that, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." Revelation 3:5.
The Holy Spirit is your Helper in this because we cannot overcome our natural sinful lives without His help.
May God pour out His blessing on you,
H'chat.
PS. Read Maranatha's testimony.

Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not confess with your mouth and from your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and that Jesus rose from the dead. When you have done this you are cleansed from all your sins and your old man is crucified in Christ. You are born again by the Spirit of God and have the new creation life in Christ Jesus. When you live out your new creation life in the Spirit you are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. You are also given the abundant of grace and the gift of God's righteousness to reign in life over sin (Romans 5:17). When you believe you have all God's grace and you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus you will overcome all your sins. May God give you the strength to know Jesus Christ personally. Amen.

The only thing that will make you stop, is YOU. Unless you stop every minute of every day, sometimes second by second, and show self control as often as it takes, you will not succeed no matter how much you cry out to God.
When the Israelites (my ancestors) came to the Yam Suf, the Reed Sea, they cried out to God "Help us! We cannot cross! What will we do! The Egyptians are right behind us! Help! Help!"
Nothing happened.
They cried out again! Nothing happened.
Finally one brave man decided "Enough with this crying! We must DO something ourselves!!" And so he took the very first leap into the water, it came up to his neck. When the people saw this, they knew what they had to do. ACTION.
And when God saw this, He helped them on their way by parting the sea. Not until God saw this, did He do that.
If you really don't want to end up where you're going, the only thing to do is not go there. Minute by minute, second by second. And find something else to occupy your time, go to school, take a class, go help people somehow.
Best wishes.

do you know God actually wants to help you? or else this urge, this longing for leaving the evil and pursuing the right path would not have come to you.
all you have to do is to start respecting women. they are God's most wonderful creation.
cutting down on cigarettes and alcohol(in case you take) would be of great help
above all, turn to yoga...mainly the breathing exercises and some very simple postures. May God bless you

Stop feeling so damn guilty - just enjoy it.
Jeez your religion has a lot to answer for.
AND, if you want to stop doing whatever … just stop.
There is no 'god' and if there was he sure wouldn't be wasting his time and effort waving a magic wand in your direction.
You better start taking responsibility for your own actions just like normal people do.
Hey, I stopped smoking after 45 years about nine months ago - it's as easy as you want to make it.
Don't be such a weak-willed cry-baby; grow up.

He isn't here, just His children. If you really want an answer, humbly kneel in a private place and ask Him with all sincerity. You'll get your answer there.
