Frankly when i read the question , the first thing that pomped into my head was that it was going to be a chance for an intelegent conversation and a superior discussion , but when i read some of the answers , i almost threw up disgusted from the closed mindedness and shallow disgusting quality of thinking of some people ,,,,,,
It is true that some people in the name of islam have done some things that cannot be tolerated by the measurments of a sound mind , but it is not a proper justification to accuse a rligion with more than billion followers that it is violent ,,,,
The Americans wiped out Vitenam and Iraq but no one accused christianity to be a violent religion ,,,,, the jews are killing palestenians every day , every moment , and probably some one is being killed right know but yet no one accused judism to be violent ,,,,,,

Wake up people , it is the people who kill , rape and arson ,,,,, not religions,,,,,

I agree with Christians very little, to which even some Christians who answer this question will attest. However, if Islam is spreading, it is spreading like a murderous cancer. It's values appear to be incestuous and it's hates automatic, without thought, and a sign of weak minds easily lead.

I have to put this in the record. I YA e-mailed timbugtiny that his account was incorrect because there were more Pagans in groups on this land that would become the USA than Christians and they were ignored.

The United States was founded on judao christian beliefs and should be kept that way. Our founding fathers thought they wanted religious freedom at the time. They did not even take Islam, Buddism, Hinduism and any other religion in to consideration at the time because as general rule they were not present at the time the laws were written. I am quite sure that if they had been around the laws would have been written differently at the time.
