For a time I amused myself watching and listening to bible preachers sunday morning. They would read a quote out of the bible and then tell everyone what it means (what they thought it means). That's just fine if everyone agreed on it but as it turns out if you turn the channel you find everyone going in different directions except that the born again christians just come right out with the donation hotline. If this stuff matters to you and if it matters that you get it right how can you believe that stuff to easy? I guess that IS why born agains are so popular because they just tear out the bible pages that sound confusing and change the wording to what they can comprehend

The problem is that most just sit in the pew and do NOT study deep enough to test...... we are instructed to TEST...... I am now on my 4th study of the Bible...... I use a different person to study by and with...... I do NOT always agree with what is said or shown, I pray and meditate and study some more...... some things just *click* for lack of better word...... Understanding takes years and dedication of faith..... and even a life time is NOT long enough to really KNOW..... and some things are NOT important for salvation..... for living a good, great, Godly life maybe, but NOT for salvation...... I am the first to admit I KNOW very little when it comes to the *certain* and *full truth* of faith and the Bible...... but I strive to learn the KNOW factor....... I find peace in the knowledge that Jesus died , was buried and arose, so that I may have the eternal time with God to KNOW all there is to know, and to have a love that is part of world...... LOVE will be the main engrediant of eternity heaven........ that is where and why I have my peace....... IN FAITH not RELIGION..... go in peace........ God bless

Well, that's just human interpolation. It's pretty normal in ANY faith or belief system.

Christians DO agree on the basics:
1. Jesus was and IS the only begotten Son of God.
2. He was crucified and rose from the dead three days later.
3. He sent the Holy Spirit in His place.

Everything else...well, sometimes the Bible can be a bit ambiguous on some things. And sometimes man interprets it to his own benefit (by man, I mean mankind). I think that no matter what, we'd be wrong in the eyes of those who don't believe. If ALL Christians agreed on EVERYTHING, it would be because we're "brainwashed." We'd be like robots. On the other hand, since we DON'T agree on everything, it's because there are so many "contradictions" in the Bible. No, it's because we're human. God is perfect. Humans are not.

Peace is focusing on what the diff religions have in common (and I suspect there is that commonality in all) rather than on the differences. When one looks at a beautiful garden filled with an assortment of flower and fauna, don't they look beautiful together despite the many varieties? How boring your garden will look if you had only red roses planted in it.

Don't trust or believe anyone. If you believe in God and read the Bible yourself, pray for God to show you the truth.God doesn't confuse us. Be careful who you listen to. I listen to televangelists and love to listen to some. But I also get turned off when they start asking for money. Pay your tithes to your church and if you like who you listen to and they help you, then you can send donations if you want.

Yep... ain't that the truth... another prophecy quote...

" And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own learning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor. The bible is supposed to be read as it is. No one should misconstrue it for their benefit. Peace is not found in religion. It is found in the relationship with Christ.

here's the thing...try reading the bible, yourself and see what God actually said.

make sure you read the holy bible, not the *holey* bible with just the parts you want to read...

HAVE A STUDY BIBLE

A study bible only, to write on pages of birth and death, events ect.

I knew that I would not know the bible until I got the time frame correct.

The time frame put everything in the place and order that it should be in.

At year 2513, O.T. 1110 years, 39 books, many write, done 443 before Christ.

Moses could not write Genesis, but could compile it 857 to 897 years after flood. Job was before Moses so that Moses had to compile this book also.

222 years after flood, Terah born. Noah died Gen.9:28,29; 350 years after fld.
205 Gen.11:32; he dies. Shem dies 502 years after flood. Gen.11:10;

642 years after the flood, 215 years after the Promised Land covenant.
017 Gen.47:28; Jacob dies 659 years after the flood. Joseph is age 57.
053 years life,Joseph from age 30 is governor 80 years in Egypt, Joseph dies
712 years after the flood. Ends Genesis 50:26; 185 years to Josh.24:32;
065 years, Moses born, Pharoah killing all males born in family of Abraham.
777 years after the flood, in 80 years is 215 years in Rameses Exo.12:37;
080 age of Moses at Exodus Exo.7:7; 12:40,41; Gal.3:16-18 [ 430 years law ];
857 years after flood to Exodus. Num.33:38,39; Priest Aaron age 123 dies.
040 Deut.34:7; Deut,1:3; 29:5; 34:7; Prophet Judge Moses age 120 dies.
897 years after the flood, and 40 years after the Exodus and all has the laws.
001 Josh.5:6,10,14; 14th day in New year ends 40 years after Exodus begun.
898th year after flood. Judges began in the Promised Land with Joshua.
300 years Judges 11: 26; Jair dies.
------1198 years after the flood for troubles.
------Acts 13:20; 450 after Exodus Samuel age 80, 1307 years after flood.
------1Ki.6:1; 480 years after death of Moses, 1377 years after the flood,
-------Solomon year 4, temple begun, Solomon has 36 years of 40, 1413 after

------ Matt.1:1-17; Present year 2007 after Christ, world has had the bible from
------ 1611 to 396 years past WW1 and WW2 and the holocaust, the time frame is on time, to salvation of world, with the second coming of Jesus.

This is an example of the time involved in study, study makes no sense to me with knowing the time involved. The time that leads to salvation.
