I don't believe it. The religion most of us subscribe to is an accident of birth. God would not send you to hell for being born in a Muslim family or a Hindu family.

I think it's a bad thing to teach people that only those who believe as they do can get into heaven. It leads people to disrespect others and ultimately to mistreat them. If I had kids I wouldn't want them to think this way.

Notice the number of Christian claims where they isnist that God would not do such a thing, and in the very next sentence say that all you have to do is "accept Jesus in your heart and you will be saved"?

Perhaps they need a lesson in reading comprehension.

The question is asking: "Do you think God will send you to hell for not being a certain religion?" ie: Christianity. According to the Christian faith's own book, unless you are a Christian (exactly what version of one is never clear, and all Christian faith claim to be the one "true" one), you get shipped off to the lake of fire/hell/oblivion.

Not exactly a great example of justice: The sole criteria being whether or not you worship a specific god, and not the quality of your life/soul/heart? The sole basis for being judged as "good" being whether or not you massaged a particular god's ego?

That's not justice. That's just evil.

Various religions came into existence because people believed in different spirits instead of “the” Spirit –God. God wants us to know how He saves us, and be saved. Salvation is through the Savior He sent, not various other spirits. God happened to send only one Savior to us, Jesus. So if one doesn’t get saved through Him, then there’s only one other option: not being saved. To not be saved means not knowing Him now, and then ending up in hell after physical death.

No because it would mean he would need to exist - plus if you don't believe in him, and thus don't believe in heaven and hell, how can you end up somewhere you don't believe exists?
But if you look at religion, the base line of each one is "if you don't believe in our God than you are going to hell", so based on that pretty much everyone on earth is going to hell since ya can't believe in more than 1 religion

According to what is recorded in the Bible, you have to believe in Jesus Christ. He didn't say anything about religion. He said this:
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
(John 3)

So religion is for those who want to be religious. If you want a personal relationship with God, then believe in His Son. It's really that simple.

To reject the atonement is to reject life. It has nothing to do with religion. It has everything to do with truth. We are snners and we are condemened. God sent his son that you might receive life. It is your free will choice to choose life or reject it.
Jesus is the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the Father but through the Son.

Well, religion is a man devised concept, and it's just a way for people of similar beliefs to congregate. God, simply asked that we all believe. So...no, I don't think so.

No........ I don't believe that God is vengeful and that he/she will send someone to hell for believing in him/her in a different way than I do or anyone else do.

No. I don't believe God sits in judgement over human souls.

Pathofreason: She's talking about *your* God.
