It's only been 9 hours,Hon.It must seem like FOREVER to you all,but it could be anything at this point.Maybe Bro is getting annoyed at it all,but he's got to realise that it's for the sake of finding his friend, they're noy doing it just to get on his nerves.Just BE THERE for him if things arent good, and,in the meantime, try to occupy him, play a game,or watch tv with him,get his mind doing something else for a while.Best of luck to you all.

Let me get this straight; you're brother's friend is missing, he's the last one that spoke to him, and he's annoyed because people want his help finding him? He doesn't "feel" like talking about it? Does he understand that there are some scary people out there looking for children his friend's age out by themselves and what those people do to children once they find them? Your brother may be young, but your family, maybe with help from a police officer trained in interviewing children, need to get across to him the seriousness of the matter and his responsibility in this matter. Your brother is (at least age wise) crossing over that border where he has to be a little more grown up. This is the life of a human being that hangs in the balance, and his "annoyance" is really irrelevant!

There's not much he can do or say in this situation.

The friend may turn up at some point--probably will. Your brother should accept the fact that his desire to privacy is a bit outweighed by his friend's missing status and just basically put up with it for now.

If he has been reported missing this is now a police matter. Your brother should tell the police everything he knows.

Now..nothing. If he doesn't want to talk, then the family will have to conduct thier investigation in some other manner. It's not an official police matter until the kid is gone for 24 hours (at least, not in my state...).

However, I'm sure once the cops are involved, he will talk.

Your brother needs to come clean with whatever he knows, and he sounds like he knows something. If he doesn't and the authorities are called in, your brother could get into trouble. However, the authorities need to be called in if he's been missing that long.

He is going to fess up.. His friend ran away from home and he confided in your brother. This is no time to be mum... He had better talk and do it soon before his friend gets picked up on the road by a pervert.. Good luck Grant from Pennsylvania

Your brother knows something, encourage him to speak up or else he is in danger, he may be accused. He is the only one who can clear what's really happening, maybe his friend plan to stow away and this is it.
