I briefly dated a guy several years go and lost contact. I've been with my current boyfriend for a wonderful 2 years and still going strong. However, my ex contacted me a couple weeks ago. It was a brief affair that ended in immaturity. And I was surprised how similar he is to my current boyfriend. Physical appearance, general personality, and even hobbies. My ex isn't looking to date me but there's this unspoken tension between us. I love my current boyfriend and have no intention of breaking up with him but is it ok to date someone who's so much like an ex?

If you are storng-willed that no attraction will happen again, you can date him but let your current bf know about it.

It happens all of the time. You are just attracted to a certain type of guy. That is very common.
My current bf doesn't look exactly like my ex, but when we ran into my ex the other noght, I had to take a double take. Although there is a 10 year age difference, the new one looks similar, carries himself similar, etc.. to the ex I was in love with 16 years ago!!!! It was so weird, especially when I had to introduce them. I'll bet he realized that he looked a lot like that when we were together!! I had not even thought about it until then!!!

No, I don't think it's wrong at all! As long as current b/f doesn't know this. There isn't anything wrong with it b/c you obviously had a lot of feelings for ex b/f and you met this new guy who is similar... Maybe it's you trying to "replace" the ex b/c you didn't really want it to end in the 1st place.
Sorry, I think of everything psychologically. lol

Of course! That just means you are attracted to a certain look. And that's okay. You're able to differentiate between your ex and your current, right? They most likely have different personalities. You just like that certain look, whether it be dark hair, certain facial features. The majority of us are like that.

You can imagine that your boyfriend is dating with another girl,then how do you feel?Maybe you could get the answer to the quedtion.
If it is not enough impression,i can tell your a story which i heard from sugarmommymeet.com.The story is just like yours.The man began to revenge her girl after he knew his girl's affairs.Apparently there was not a good aftermath. They were hurted and broke up...

yes its oK!! I could see if the ex was a negative mistake of the past but he seems like a cool guy and you two are on good terms so it definetly alright! Its your personal preferences that led you to both men so Im guessing they are your just your 'type'.of guy.
