How does a whole apple tree come out of a 1/8th of an inch seed? We can observe the scientific process, but do we REALLY KNOW the process of the seed growth? If we really understood it, we ought to be able to make the seed ourselves from scratch and cause it to do the same. But this is impossible, because life of anything on earth originated from God’s “hands.” Whether normal human birth as we know it, or super-normal birth like Jesus’, both are from God. Jesus’ supernatural birth was another kind of God’s way of bringing forth life.

And if all the human genes came from Mary, a woman, an XX - did Jesus lack a Y? Was he really a she?
And why did God violate His own procreative design for mammals, was it evil by design?
And how does this fit into the whole only-male-to-female mating is ok concept?
And if magically creating the Y genetic material, why did God use pregnancy next? what exactly did this teach Jesus, Mary or Christianity? was it essential to give the world apparent evidence his mother was a girl of loose morals, or that his background was NOT of the Divinely appointed since Adam pattern of male-female sex-only-within-marriage?
Hmmmm.
How much easier, how much more natural it is to read the Bible as not literal but also metaphoric in meaning, perhaps inspiring and inspired but not a mental torture device which only "works" if you do not use the wonderful human Gift of questioning and thinking...

There are things In this world that are much bigger than your mind can Comprehend. For instance Take the point of Hibernation....One can quickly see the difference by contrasting the bear with the woodchuck, a true hibernator. Viewed during the winter, a woodchuck appears as though dead and is completely unconscious. Its normal body temperature of 96.9° F. is reduced to 38 degrees, and it takes only one breath every six minutes. The bear, on the other hand, maintains a normal body temperature and his breathing is reduced to four or five complete respirations a minute. Think you have a puzzle with the Creator and his ability to come up with a Virgin Birth?

Whether Jeus had any DNA from Mary is not important.
Jesus was born to Mary, in the line of King David. And, his adopted father was also of the line of King David. Thus, Jesus had the legal right to become King of God's Kingdom, as prophesied.
What difference does it make whether God used any of Mary's DNA to bring this about? Do you honestly think it would be more difficult to simply transfer Jesus from his prior spirit life into a tiny embreo, than to use one of Mary's eggs?
(Sounds easier, to me, not harder.)
There was no sex act involved. Simply a transference/re-creation of life, from perfect spirit, to perfect human life..

none of the christians here apparently understand anything about the impregnation process. turns out they believe in magic.
i believe that God knew man was too stupid at the time (and maybe today too) to give his process secret away.
BUT, i think by today's standard we know that with modern impregnation techniques, a virgin could give birth.
another BUT, there are cases among mammals where the egg begins to split due to some internal chemical processes with the body.
as time goes on, i think we will discover amazing things about the human body, and who knows, maybe the average Christian will actually study Biology in college.

When I was a kid I believed that God used magic to obtain a sperm from Joseph's ball sack, then used more magic to place it into Mary right next to the egg. Maybe he used a magic turkey baster?

Our problem with trying to figure out how God does things, is we try to think of it in a physical sense. How we would do it. We can't think like God, nor can we even conceive (pardon the expression) how God thinks or acts.
