He left, and is talking about trying to redesign the cars so as to make sure that daughter Ashley is safe..(don't blame him)..but, when he talked about the cars, and racing..he did say, don't count him out yet..that is a direct quote that was televised on our local channel and of course in the dallas morning news..the injured parts are not the ones he actually drives with, but, never know, with John Force..never say never..til you hear it from him himself..

Baylor Hospital Dallas. Send him Your prayers. The extent of his injurys and numerious broken bones I do not think he will race again this year. So much for Force's chance to win year end award. Eric Medlin's crash must have been worse. When a tire comes apart at 330 miles an hour It tore John's car in half. That frame work modification was done as a result of Eric's crash. Looks Like GoodYear and NHRA need to get on top of this one quickly.

There is no way that NHRA is going to risk losing their biggest star. He might come back for the last 2 races but he will not race in Richmond.

I am not sure if he is out of the hospital. He is definitely out for at least the remainder of this year. He had to have pins put in his left ankle and his right wrist. They haven't mentioned if there was any muscle or ligament damage. If there is, he may not race again.
