why with all america's technological sophistication, spy planes, secret agents and all that, they still can't find osama bin laden?

Well.. dont you know that Weapons industry is the world's largest industry. It flourishes only when there are wars. The big wigs of this industry need to have wars all around so that they can sell their weapons and ammunition and earn huge profits.
Characters like Osama help them frighten people of war and bombs, which in turn helps the US government to spend more on weapons and wars.
They are not interested in capturing Osama or Mullah Omer. The war in Afghanistan can easily be concluded if NATO forces destroy opium fields instead of killing innocent people and declaring them Taliban or terrorists. But they are not making any effort to dry their source of income...
Where there is a will, there is a way. Osama is not mightier than US Intelligence. He is a stooge of US.

Because we've devoted too many military resources that had Bin Laden targeted, to Iraq. He's just simply a forgotten man, even Bush doesn't remember who Bin Laden is/was anymore.

Because he has lots of supporters willing to help him hide out.
Spy satellites and spy planes are great for tracking tanks ships, etc. Not so much for people. Secret agents in this case depend strictly on informants. If Osama's core supporters who are helping him hide aren't talking, there's not much help from that angle.
It's a big planet and Osama is just one small guy.

we cant even find lost hikers in our own country that want to be found. How are we to capture a pig fearing piece of work like him? He hides anywhere he can, in garbage cans, caves, under snake farts etc.

Because Bush was never really worried about finding him.Have you ever noticed how he conviently shows up when the administration needs to distract the masses through fear?
If the loyal Bush supporters stop and think about it for a few minutes they might actually SEE how Bush has lied to the people.After 9/11 he (Bush) promised to bring the people responsible for the attack to justice.When we had him(OBL) cornered in Tora Bora he slipped away!Since then this administration has even been making half-hearted attempt to get him!Because GWB isn't worried about him anymore!

TO catch Usama is not the policy of Bush.
If he wanted to catch, Nothing was difficult, But bush needed a reason to attack Afghanistan.

Because people in the middle east don't realize that $50,000,000 USD is $2,478,410,879.75 AFN(Afghanis), $61,625,000,000.00 IQD(Dinars), $465,400,000,000.00 IRR(Rials), or $3,035,500,000.00 PKR(Rupees). Maybe they think $50 million means something else?

We could trek in there and find him but we would piss off a few million people who don't like us as it is. Plus they have nukes.
