gross......lol, they're just hot dogs that have been pickled i'd imagine.

Just hot dogs that are jarred. Anything can be pickled, and this was a popular way to preserve foods before refrigeration came along. I don't know if I would eat it though, but it is a way to survive if you are in need of perishable items and have no refrigeration or freezing methods.

Poor baby, you're not from the South, are you? Hot dogs are preserved in a brine of apple cider vinegar and spices. They're a popular snack down here. Hard boiled eggs are done the same way. So are pigs' feet. YUM!
