It's a pretty common feeling to loathe the full moon. It has been associated with bad things through all of recorded history. It's been proven time and time again that the full moon brings out the wackos...lol just ask anybody that has worked at a hospital or for law enforcement. It's hard to say why this is really, maybe a deeply imbedded notion of the bad things from fairy tales of supernatural beings, or more likely because the full moon has a real effect on everything. In nature for example, it has a huge effect on the tides. Maybe some of us have a way of "feeling" the moon... Either way, good luck with the whole spiritual journey that you're on.

Don't worry....you been hearing a lot of stories, bad stories where the moon somehow is involved. Now go do the opposite, read the stories where the moon plays a beautiful part in litrature.
After all that, just act easy. Go out into the night of a full moon, laugh like crazy.....stop laughing and feel the elements all around you. Then shoot the full moon with a blunderbust if you have one or with anything that comes to mind. It's just a symbol casting out dark shadows in you where the moon is concern. Then after having done this act a few times I assure you, you would then imagine that the full moon is smiling on you....no more dark shadows crowding back into your mind.

I don't know why you loathe it. I love looking at a full moon.
Mother nature can be cold and harsh. If you had billions of people wandering around on your back, you might become a little cold and harsh too. There is only one true God, but you have to find this for yourself. All paths diverge to the same place.

Maybe you watched a really scary werewolf movie as a child?
I dont see nature as harsh or cold or loving or anything. I think nature is just what it is, for the most part it is survival of the fittest. (but no I dont accept evolution)
I see the moon as an orbiting mass that got caught or was placed in the earths gravitational rotation.
It can be very beautiful at times though.

I love a full moon, mostly in the winter, on freshly fallen snow, good time to walk, everything is a glow, beautiful, and that is my spiritual moment, the peace of the night and freshly fallen snow, lovely. Mother nature is wonderful at this time, other times harsh such as Hurricane Katrina, I lived Thur that and now life is not taken for granted, and I moved back to Illinois to the winter, that takes me to a quiet place.

Because the universe is cold and harsh and cares nothing for you. In the same way a lump of rock is cold and harsh and cares nothing for you.
Maybe the cold whiteness of the moonlight reminds you of this fact, but you do not want to accept it.
There are no gods or goddesses.

Well perhaps if you told us more about your behavior or actions during a full moon!?
1. Are you finding that you have more hair on your upper lip or palms? Do you crave rare steaks or pork chops? Are your teeth sharp and your eyes yellow? Do you howl at the moon?
OR
2. Do you turn into a skeleton when the light of the full moon hits you? Have you been near any cursed Aztec gold on the Isla de Muerte? Do you know a monkey named Jack?

An ancient fear still present today in some people. The full Moon was thought to be a portent of evil; even today when we sense danger the nerves at the base of our spines send distress signals, so it is with the fear of a full moon, actually a more common fear than you think. I believe Diana would be your goddess.

Are you related to Professor Remus John Lupin? ;-)
Maybe you feel alone in a cold, harsh world, but you don't have to be. There is more to life than "mother nature."
The moon is beautiful. Jesus created it, and He loves you.

forget about spirituality and religion, try ethical thought. the reason you don't like the full moon is that it sheds light on your nigh time habits, nothing wrong with long candlesticks, be proud of your ways, they are what make you you :)
