My aunt Pheobe says that Jesus is all good, and if you dare to disagree, Jesus will come down and slap thee upside the head. If you speak a word of Goddess or say Buddah is the best, she will fight you to the test. She says that anyone that doesn't think Jesus is all good should be shot. But I am so confused, because I thought Jesus was this dude who taught love and tolerance unconditional. Is my auntie right?

Jesus loved people, but contrary to popular belief, Jesus was not absolutely tolerant of everything! Now, before you give me a thumbs down...is that really being tolerant?

she's right that Jesus is the only way to God, not a goddess or buddah which are false gods. She means well but she is confusing you. God does not slap you on the head, but He may allow certain events to happen to you to get your attention focused on Him. He is your Heavenly Father and He wants you to know Him. Jesus is unconditional love. Think-- if you are a father but your child totally ignores you even though do so much for your child every day, that is what God experiences when one of us ignores Him. He wants to be part of our life.

No, she's listening to the wrong teachers. Jesus, Father God, and the Holy Spirit are all gentlemen who have allowed people free will to believe in them or not to believe in them. He has given us free will to sin and to come to Him just as we are, not when we get all cleaned up. Jesus is all good though. He laid down His life for all people even though they hated Him and hate Him still. It is people who screw it up and don't understand.
