I don't believe Jesus is God. Jesus was a prophet that came to teach humanity. He isn't God and yes he is son of God but then we are all God's children as well, not just Jesus.

Jesus wasn't a "nice person". Nice people don't claim to be God in the flesh, unless they really are. He got crucified for claiming to be God. (either He IS God, or He was delusional, or He was just a liar... but "nice person" cannot fit)
"We are all His children" Not according to the Bible. Everyone who accepts the Son is given the chance to be a child of God.
"Why did He die?" Great question! The FAIR punishment for the sin of Adam and Eve (rebellion, disobedience, the claiming of Lordship over oneself - "You're not the boss of me, God.") is death - that's for all of us, and it's a spiritual death. That means separation from God forever. That's the fair punishment. Jesus paid that bill with His death. The hard part, wasn't the whippings or the nails, it was the part where God could not look upon Him because He was covered in all of our sin. But then, death and the grave could not hold him. Why? Because He was actually innocent. Jesus was sinless Himself, and though He took our sins to the grave, He just up and left them there! Cool, huh?
To everybody who wants to "give back" the forbidden fruit, or say to Jesus "OK, you be the boss of me.", we get to be children of God - and as such, go live with Him forever in Heaven. Wanna go? Let Jesus be your Lord and He'll take away your sin.

These are important questions.
Jesus is the Son of God, or more correctly in English, God the Son. He is the 2nd person of the Trinity (take too much time to try to explain THAT doctrine). His title has to do with the fact that He is fully God and fully human.
Christ came to die for sins He didn't commit to pay a ransom for those who could not, us. Those who believe in Christ and trust His sacrifice alone have their sins cleansed before a holy and perfect God. Jesus gets the special title because only He could truly pay our debt, because He was without sin, and only He could rise again and apply to us, since He is God.
It is only counter-intuitive if you try to make the God Man who is Christ into a mere man, or only God, He is both. Wish I had more space, but hope that helps.

Have you ever read a good mystery story and just know you have figured it all out, only to find out at the end that you didn't put all the pieces together properly for lack of that one final clue?
The pieces to the identity of Christ are scattered all over the old testament. When he came here many believed but many more were still unconvinced. The final clue that puts it all together is found by faith.
Edit:
Samadhi: The verse you quoted in Deuteronomy would disprove the new testament if Jesus ever taught that we must follow a different god. He clearly taught that he and the Father are One. There was never any attempt to cause people to bow to another. That distinction belongs to allah and Mohammed. They clearly state that the God of the Christians is false, just as you do now.

Not at all. We do not have to believe that. Jesus even said, all sins can be forgiven even those against the Son. Therefore it is not necessary to believe what he claimed or what someone else writing the comicbook claims he said. The Bible is not true and without error. Christianity fails its own test. Read Deuteronomy 13:1-10. It is a prophesy against Christianity and what is taught about Jesus. Either the verse is not true or the story of Jesus is not true. In either event, this makes the story of the New Testament suspect. It fails the test of Deuteronomy 13:1-10.

The Bible says that Jesus was the son of God. If we understand the Bible, it also says Ephraim was the son of God and was the first born of God.(Bible:Jeremiah 31:9) According to the Bible even Ezekiel is given the title the son of man. (Bible: Ezekiel 2:1) Joseph is the father of Jesus.
look at the bible like anybody will say

I do believe Jesus is the son of God and that all people are his sons and daughters...ALL OF US!
To believe Jesus is God, is right and to believe each and every one of us is God Also is right!
Religions keep editing the religious texts so much that the messages get distorted.
Even christianity where people say jesus is god is in direct violation of the first commandment!
Things have just gotten twisted to the max!
But everyone I see, i see the face of God within them!

Jesus is the "I Am" of the Bible. He is the Son of God.He is God Almighty.Study history and you will find this to be true.Enough of this hackneyed "logic" drivel.Research the historicity of Biblical characters and the 100% accuracy of Bible prophecy that no other religious or secular books come near in any way, shape,or form.

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)
"Initially there were 34 gospels that were compiled by word of mouth. Four were chosen for unclear reasons and 30 were left behind [burned]. (Encyclopedia Britannica)
“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,
Although Nontrinitarian beliefs continued to multiply, and among some people (such as the Lombards in the West) it was dominant for hundreds of years afterward, the Trinitarians gained the immense power of the Roman Empire. Nontrinitarians typically argue that the primitive beliefs of the Christianity were systematically suppressed (often to the point of death), and that the historical record, perhaps also including the Scriptures of the New Testament, was altered as a consequence.
