Active duty, National Guard and Reserve soldiers all go through the same training. And with the war going on you are better off going into Active duty. I have been in the Army Reserve for 4 years and I am currently serving my 3rd deployment.

Army is Basic Training. Marines are Boot Camp. For the National Guard or the Reserves (2 different things) the training is the same as if you joined the Army as active duty.

Basic Combat Training(Basic Training) is the same for Active, Reserve, and National Guard. Its all 9 weeks overall. 1 reception week, and the other 8 are the training.
You all train together in the same time, but in different forts depending on your MOS.

no such thing. It's either National Guard, or the Reserves.
Navy Reservists attend Boot camp with Active Duty, so 9 weeks.

The Army National Guard basic training is 8 weeks + 1 week inprocessing. You will be with both active duty army and army reserves during BCT/AIT. (unless anything I don't know about changed since 04)

they are wrong. it is 9 weeks with one week in reception so 10 weeks in all. if you want to know what basic is like, go to goarmy.com and check out the schedule. it goes day by day.
