Well, if I really liked here...as in I loved her or could love her, and by 'used to be' she meant years ago and not last week, then I would want her to get an HIV test... regularly for a few years. Other then that, I would let it be. Everyone can make mistakes. As long as the mistakes are in the past and won’t hurt me today, then I suggest you just drop it and let her have a chance to make you happy.

If on the other hand you don’t see the relationship going anywhere... or by "in the past' she meant, until about a week before she met you, then I would hand her her walking papers. Why put yourself through it if you don’t think it will last or don’t care if does.

If you are in doubt and unsure if you love her or not or if you aren't sure you want to try and make things work, then I suggest you shelve e the issue for the time being and don't make a decision yet. Ask yourself how much you care about her. If it's more then a little give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, if next week you think, I can’t take this, it's easier to walk away later then if you break up today and next week decide it's not a big deal and then try and reconcile.

I hope this helps.

to be honest i think you should ask her in the nicest way possible to have some tests done if you know what i mean... just in case for STD's and what not. Secondly i think you should look beyond that and see her for what she is.. she probably had good or really bad reasons for doing what she did and hopefully she has learned and changed from her previous expereinces. As long as she doesnt ask for money after you make love i dont see what the problem is.

I think that you should definitely get her tested for possible STD's and HIV. But people change. Don't end things based solely on that. We all have pasts.

would not worry me even if she was still working (its legal here so there are no health worries) --- provided that we got along and wanted to pursue the relationship

Is she serious? If she is through with that stage of her life, is clean, and you really care about her... go for it.
