I missed your first question?? What is wrong with rice and indian food? It really shouldn't matter what you eat so long as you mix it up a bit. Fruits, veggies ,meat, bread, rice ,pasta,fish, dairy, etc.

Eat what you like..just keep it to 1200 calories a day..and hit the pavement for 30 to 40 minutes everyday...
