i'm sorry, what i need are not the ones that make me do a survey or offer anything or sell. as a house wife, whom i am bound to stay at home due to some health issues, my previous work was an english teacher, so i'm wondering if there are on line teaching careers out there or anything related. like writing articles, checking grammars, maybe even secretarial or typing jobs. which are definitely LEGITIMATE ones. but please, no selling, no doing surveys, or offering anything to anyone. sorry...i just need some help so i can help my husband in return with our finances. thank you so much!

Yes, there are services that provide telephone tutoring for school students.

There are also jobs in editing and proof reading. Why not contact various publishing companies and tell them your situation and see if they have work. Usually they will pay on spec (for work done) so they will try you out with a few things then give you more work. In fact there is quite a lot of work in editing and proof reading.

You could also start your own business proof-read thesis for university students or proof reading business documents.

As for writing. Get a good book on freelance writing, and learn to write articles, then send them to magazines and newspapers. Also maintain a blog, many of them turn into paying prospects.
