"If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21: but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.” ---- Exodus 21:20-21

Mar 10:2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? tempting him.

Mar 10:3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

Mar 10:4And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put [her] away.

Mar 10:5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

Mar 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Mar 10:7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

Mar 10:8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

Mar 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mar 10:10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same [matter].

Mar 10:11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

Mar 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

So I guess the question is what else has man managed to fit in because he wanted it even though it wasn't God will for man kind?

This is nothing but a verse that was taken out of context.

Also, it doesn't say what the slave was beaten for. If someone did something that was horrible, then punishment was laid out. It was a different time back then and God had the people operate under a different law because this was before Jesus came. After Jesus, the law was changed.

Some people are still just taking verses out of context, to try and prove their point. Have you really read that whole chapter that you took the text from. Have you asked God for understanding. God told His people what He wanted, but He also gave them free will. Do people really understand what free will is. God allows us to make our own decisions, even though He is not always happy with our choices, but He is always there to pick us up if we just ask. It would not be free will if He made us do what was right or what He wanted us to do. Man does evil, not God.Just like when you were a child and were learning to walk for the first time. You had to take one step at a time, and when you stumbled and fell your mother was there to pick you up, dust you off and set you on the right path again. Or if you did something that she was not happy with, she still loved you and gave you guidance, whether you followed it or not.

The Lord God will not always interfere in the life of man because all things we experience here in mortality become to our betterment in the hereafter.

The Lord has given all mankind free agency; that gift to choose for ourselves how best we think to live our lives and return to the Father's presence.
