1. a daily prayer to ask God to help me thru another 24 hrs
2. divorce, he was physically and mentally abusive
3. my daughter moved 150 miles away. She put me thru so much, I had to seperate from her or go crazy. She was a cutter, she smoked pot, listened to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, lit candles and cut herself in her room. She was really into it big time too. It about drove me off the deep edge. I could not eat, sleep, focus. I missed work. My thoughts were racing. I cried in the dark in bed at nite. I had no support from anywhere and I was very very depressed.
When my son moved out I cried because I was stuck. He was my only support and I was up a creek.

I'm not sure you'll understand.
It's something like the Sedona Method.
Basically - - it's a sort of a release - - and emotional release system.

It has worked wonders for me. Even my kids are amazed at how I deal and react at things that would normally flipped me over the edge.

creative work. always always ALWAYS cheers me up. anything like dancing, drawing, writing stories, music, anything creative and/or spiritual. prayer, deep meditation etc. also very much lift my moods. the best thing about these things is that they require no outside person, because even though family and friends are absolutely wonderful, they're not always there for you (due to time conflicts and so on) so it's good to have something independant of them to fall back on.
also, singing is a good idea ;) I wish you the best of luck.

Smoking. I crap you not. lol

When I was a teen, my train of thought was I was killing myself slowly instead of suicide, which is obviously faster. So I smoked. I can officially say that smoking has saved my life or else I would've done something stupid like jumping off a bridge. The rest is just time.
