Did you do a System Restore, or System Recovery? Restore is going back to a point when the system changed. Recovery is basically resetting the comp to original settings. If it was just a System Restore, you can undo that, just restart in Safe Mode and go to the System Restore and undo it. If it was a full System Recovery, the only thing I can think of / suggest is to format the drive and start all over again fresh. BUT, if you can still get into Windows in Safe Mode, try doing a System Restore....

you don't say exactly what type of error description you get. but it could be something as simple as your ram memory going bad. this is easy to fix. if you have 2 ram sticks in your pc, take one of them out, start the pc and see how it does.if still having problems take that one out and put the other one in. restart the pc and see if there's still problems.

if you only have one ram memory stick in your pc you will have to take out the old one and buy a new one to put in. be sure and take the old one to the store and show it to the clerks so they will give you the same type that is compatible with your pc. start it up and see if this solves your problem. it may not be the solution but you will only know if you try. it could be an inexpensive fix to a big problem. i just went through this myself and it worked for me. good luck.

Sounds like you may have a conflicting software or hardware conflict. Have you tried running all of your windows updates. What OS are you running
