I'm 21, 5'7 and about 147 lbs. I'm in the healthy range for my height, but I would like to lose about 10-15 pounds. I have a small pouch and a couple spare tires. I've tried counting calories but I'm so bad with numbers. A couple people have said that if I lost 15 pounds it would make me look anorexic, but I was about 125 (and still at the same height) before I started birth control and I wasn't anorexic looking.
I would like to do some more exercising but I don't want to bulk up. I'm naturally big boned. I deliver pizza which requires a lot of walking (especially to the barracks) and climbing stairs, but I want something to do that will tone the area I need and lose the weight.
I won't eat any kind of seafood or soy. For some reason protein shakes don't agree with my system. If anyone has some good ideas, please share away. Thanks

125 at 5'7" is going to put you in at an unhealthy weight for your height. If you are a girl, you don't have to worry about exercise "bulking you up", you don't have the testosterone in your system for it. Probably the best exercise to normalize your body is to walk for an hour each day keeping your pulse within 60 t0 70% of your pulse limit. Figure that by subtracting your age from 220 and multiplying by .6 and .7. In your case: between about 120 and 140. Walking to deliver pizzas does NOT count. You will almost have to have a pulse rate monitor to do it right.

Join Weight Watchers! I have been on it for three weeks and totally changed my diet. I eat a healthy whole-grain cereal, add fruit, 1% milk for breakfast. Lunch is either a protein bar if I'm on the road, or a lean protein and vegetables for lunch, like turkey slices on rolled whole wheat tortilla. Dinner is more lean protein with vegetables and a salad.
Complex carbs are good, they stick with you, simple carbs are not good, they convert to straight sugar in your body. Watch your fat intake and exercise more - aerobics/cardio, and strength training. I've lost 8 lbs so far.

you shouldn't be drinking protein drinks anyways if you want to lose weight because they help you gain weight. walking/ running is good exercise to lose weight without really gaining that much muscle. to get rid of your stomach do situps.
