It's usually said 'as right as rain' and it is usually used to mean that you are feeling well and in good health.

Q. How are you feeling now?
A. As right as rain!

I don't know exactly how the expression came about, apart from the obvious alliteration (with the r's). Actually it is almost exactly the same expression as 'as fit as a fiddle'. Alliteration with the f's, and what is so fit about a fiddle?

I guess rain did used to be of more interest to more people, when they were growing their own food and stuff. Rain was 'right'.
