I am a new UCLA student and I'm only taking 1 class... I have to pay $8 for a three-hour class and it's very pricey... Any recommendations to save on this parking?

An idea is to take public transportation to school if it is cheaper than the parking. It also saves on gas.

Is this $8 for each day you park? If so, find out if you can get a campus parking permit. Usually the amount is per semester and can be paid for with your financial aid.

If this is 8 dollars per semester, then I would say congratulations. I paid more than $50.00 and I swear they gave out 4,000 parking permits for 40 parking spaces.
After spending all that money, I ended up riding a bike.

Don't forget about the Culver City Bus and the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus lines.
