It's Jesus Christ who is the mediator because He is the only person within the Trinity that has both a human nature and a divine nature & can thus represent humanity 100%.

You got it! That's right. Not only can He, But he is!
I hope you don't know this yet. But here He is in the Old Testament. We have the Ancient of Days, and the Most High acting independently, yet in agreement with each other:
Daniel 7
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Here he is again:
Daniel 7
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
So Jesus is more than just a man who paid for sins, more than just a Mediator; He is the Deliverer, the Creator, the Word of God who spoke and out of nothing became everything.
He's our source for salvation, faith, truth, light and life!

No.
As a man, Christ was not the mediator between God and men. It was only AFTER his resurrection to heavenly life that Jesus could serve in that capacity.
(1 Corinthians 15:21-22) For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a man. For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.
(Romans 5:10-12) We became reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, now that we have become reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only that, but we are also exulting in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned
(Romans 3:21-25) God’s righteousness has been made manifest... yes, God’s righteousness through the faith in Jesus Christ, for all those having faith. For there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom paid by Christ Jesus. God set him forth as an offering for propitiation through faith in his blood.
