You don't sound very old.

Ovulation is when the egg leaves an ovary and passes through the fallopian tube and into the uterus. Conception occurs when the sperm finds the egg and unite. To me, fertile means a woman is capable of becoming pregnant--she still ovulates and menstruates. The fertile time during a woman's menstrual cycle is when ovulation is occurring--usually right in the middle of the menstrual cycle.

Ovulation is when the egg is released, conception is when the egg is fertilized. The egg can only be fertilized within 24 hours of ovulation, so these 2 events occur within 24 hours of each other.

Conception is when the sperm and egg fuse and begin to split into many cells and start life.

Ovulation is when a woman's ovary releases an egg for fertilization from the sperm of a man.

Fertile means that something is able to produce offspring or another life/lives.
