A demon Desires to be greater than God. Or at least they did when they rebelled against him. Remember, all demons used to be angels, but they fell because they rebelled against him.

Altough maybe now al they want to do is exist and keep doing thier job. hey seem to be terrified of Yeshua coming to destroy them and willing to run and hide form him.

However, misery loves company. Just like many of the mitant atheists I see on here, I'd bet a demon gets some satisfaction out of misleading a pontential believer and convincing them of a lie about there being no God, or no need to repent.

Whatever it is they want, I hope they fail to get it.

A demon desires above all things to be greater than God. But since they have not been able to equate themselves with God, and they have been trying for a long time, then they will be satisfied with controlling the lives of people on earth. They will not work too hard with those they already control, they are out to get you and me. And all I have to say to them is the old Chinese proverb "rots of ruck"
