I have many chapters which affects my life. Yet, the most inspirational chapter would be I Corinthians 13th chapter. This is a true definition and meaning of love as set forth by the examples of Christ. It serves as a guide of how we should love one another. That is the basis of Christianity, as a whole. It goes beyond barriers. It is a beacon of light that breaks the darkness.

Second half of Genesis 6 thru first half of Genesis 7. God talked to a 515 year old guy named Noah. (in a desert, with no rain or lakes or oceans nearby) God told him to build a boat 450 ft long by 75 ft wide by 45 ft tall. Noah told his family and got his wife, three sons AND THEIR WIVES to stop what they were doing and help him for the next 85 years to build this boat. I figure the neighbors built grandstands and sold hot-dogs (kosher) to watch and laugh at them all FOR 85 YEARS. But they did it. Doesn't say that God appeared to the rest of the family - I'm impressed with what kind of husband and dad Noah must have been to get them to do it.

I really enjoy the book of Job. He suffers for the love he has for the Lord but he does not fall.He prays for death but he does not fail the Lord. He is grieved in his heart, mind, body, and soul and he does not understand, but he stands for God even with all of his pain. I do not believe that I would be able to stand without the Lord in all of that suffering and reading Job makes me see that even though God punishes, He loves even more and He will not leave me when I am at my weakest.

Isaiah....it has prophecy, punishment for disobedience, blessings for obeidience, history, hope and comfort. It tells us what to expect from God and what is required of us.

Yet, if I could only have one book from the Bible, it would be Proverbs.

I love Proverbs 3. It has special meaning for me since a friend dedicated it to me. It is a good guide for life also, I think.
