"Improved" is a very subjective term.

For instance, I might think that killing all the misquitos in the world would improve it. However, the spider that feeds on the misquitos would disagree.

However, nature is far from perfect. When I was a child, I used to ask things like, "If the brain is so delicate, wouldn't it make more sense for it to be in our chest? So that it was better protected?" Or,"Why can't people see as good as an eagle can see?"

Obviously, we could improve on nature. The question is "Should we improve on nature?"

Everything can be imporved on. Humans have vestigal organs, a rudimentary tail, knees not fully adapted to walking upright, blind spots in our eyes, and hardwired to notice animlas more than othe moving, dangerous objects like cars.
there are many things that have been improved: Bannas, corn, wheat and other grains.

No.

A recent interview described what would happen to buildings and other human constructs if we were to suddenly disappear. It would not take long before basic physical forces took precedent.

With us gone, "nature" would revert to a more balanced and efficient system.

As human beings, determined to "mold" nature to our demands, we are ephemeral.

We just don't get it.
