His presence! I am guided by Him and He's there for me. I am not imagining it, He really cares for me, and I find that amazing.
An orphaned and adopted kid who didn't really have the confidence in family is getting a full dose of what it's like with God. That's what I am going through. After living through one parent leaving after another, like I don't really matter, God makes me feel like I am a part of a better one. An eternal one.
I still have trust issues, but I look at what has happened to me; a person who knows that even parents are able to leave, but God will not let me go.
And having trust issues; who do I end up trusting? Someone I cannot see. Irony all over the place!

The Holy Spirit because I now have a part of Heaven in me and look at everything in the world differently. Plus, I can now understand scripture. Finally, I can now have the mind of Christ and the spirit of discernment.

I believe that prayer and faith are interrelated in drawing me closer to God in a spiritual sense. Prayer (meditation) is a petition of sorts, a discussion, pure communication with God. Prayer is reflective of what desires and necessities we petition for to God, for others and also for ourselves. Prayer is quiet communion with Him. It is a one-on-one function that serves to honor and praise Him, to invoke His power and mercy, love and grace to serve His children's needs through His Son Jesus Christ. Faith is related in the sense that it gives us innate knowledge that God hears all prayers, and He responds to all prayers. Most often, God responds in His time, and not in ours. Through that, it does challenge our faith. Yet, all in all, like a perfect Father, He knows everything, He knows hearts, He understands all situations, and provides us with as much perfect love and blessings as we can handle given our conditions. Faith goes beyond what is seen. It is more tested on what is unseen, unheard, and relies on our nature to pray and pray again and again. So in that, prayer and faith are both aspects that draws me nearer to God in my relationship with Him.

His Word. I know it may sound like an answer most people would give off the cuff, but His Word means a lot to me.
