Good question. You can't. Besides, at Matt. 24:36, Jesus said: "He that endures to the end is the one that will be saved." Once save, always saved is simply not true.

If you are a true child of God, you will work out your own salvation with fear and trembling knowing Jesus had paid a high price for your life. You will stay close to God and always align yourself back to Him when your heart is not right at times. Know that He who began a good work in you with complete it. So, do not worry if you always respond to God with a tender heart. Work out doesn't mean work for it. Salvation is on 100% faith alone not 99 percent and 1% good works. However, your faith is real, your life will bear fruits which is becoming more Christ-like. Fear the Lord and serve Him. Amen?

Salvation has Two Parts.
1. Your Saved from Eternal Dissconnection from GOD Almighty.
2. Your Saved "Daily" from Sin, Sickness, Disease, Accidents, Poverty so on.
To Aquire "Part 1" you Simply Accept Jesus into your Heart as your Saviour. When you do this (and this Part is Totally Free) your Heart (Spirit) is ReCreated and you become a Child of GOD.
Basically, after you are Saved (Part 1) it is Hard to lose (your Salvation).
Hebrews 6:4,5,6 is the UnPardonable Sin that will mess up your Spirit again (lose your Salvation, Part 1)---very Few Children of GOD commit this and it takes Time and is Hard to do.
Now Part 2 of Salvation is a Daily Thing and WE have to "Work it Out". To stay free of Sickness, Disease, Sin so on, we have to Obey Jesus and Follow HIS Teachings in the Bible (New Testament).
To be an OverComer, we have to be Diligent in the Teachings of Jesus and Pratice them Daily---Reading and Studying the Bible, Praying, forsaking not the Assemblings of the Family of GOD (what we usually call "going to church")---IF Two or More are Gathered in HIS Name (Jesus) then HE is there too!
To Help US. And, we NEED that Help too!
Daily.

Hope this helps.

Apparently you seem to forget the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins. 5 kept heir lamps (spirit full of the Holy Spirit, obeying the word of God),the other 5 didn't keep their spirit renewed by prayer, obedience and Full of the Holy Spirit. When the Bridegroom came for His bride only the 5 wise went. God has promised in His word that He will never leave us nor forsake us,Never. We're the ones that make the choice to walk away, not God. This Is not a one time deal. We're to work out our salvation daily with fear & trembling. Your name can be blotted out of the book of life. Revelation 3:4 Yet you still have a few names In sardis who have not soiled their clothes, and they shall walk with ME In white, because they are worthy and deserving.
5. Thus shall he who conquers be clad In white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.
If you walk away from God.
You Must do your first works over. Revelation 2:4-7
It's all about the choice you make.

Php 2:12 So, then, my beloved, even as you always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, cultivate your salvation with fear and trembling,
Php 2:13 for it is God who is working in you both to will and to work for the sake of His good pleasure.
What I take this to mean is, do the works that come with or from salvation, not complete it or add to it. What I believe Paul is saying is, continue on in your good works, even when he is gone, that come as a result of your salvation. How is it possible to do the good works that come from our position? Verse 13, it is God working in us and through us, why? For His good pleasure. We don't do good works in order to insure or cause salvation, we are saved, redeemed and justified, and therefore, do good works because of that position.

Well we don't work for salvation. Rather we work out applications of our salvation. And salvation is not simply justification. It also included sanctification - which is a process. Christians mature in the faith as they cooperate with God through the Spirit in accordance with the Word of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that we are not saved BY good works, it is God's gift. But verse 10 tells us that we are saved FOR good works. After we are saved, God has work for us to do with his enabling (He works in us to will and to do).

Salvation is the initial act and walking through the salvation experience throughout your life. If you lose interest and go back into a live of sin, you can lose your salvation.

Art,
The reason is that "Once Saved, Always Saved" is NEVER Found in the BIBLE. It is a man-made doctrine and is dangerous because it is a false doctrine at that! Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds
CJ,
Read a little farther in the Pauline Letters. There are a couple of people mentioned that were lost and it shall continue to be so as long as people want to make up their own edicts for GOD rather than read, study, and obey what was written! Also, check out Revelation 2:10b "continue to be faithful until the end".

Paul did not think "once saved, always saved"
Time and again Paul likens the Christian’s course to a “race” that must be run to the finish. “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” he urged the Hebrews. (12:1, AV) To enter the race, sinners must take the steps necessary for salvation: hearing and accepting the Word of God, believing in Jesus Christ and his ransom sacrifice, repenting of their sins and being baptized. In this way, they get saved “from this crooked generation,” as Peter exhorted those gathered at Pentecost. Unbelievers are outside the race, having failed to enter by getting “saved.”Acts 2:37-40.
Once entered in the race by being “saved,” a Christian takes “hold of the life which is life indeed.” But is it possible to lose that grip on life? Paul answers with this question: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize?” In the Christian race, Paul indicates the “one” who receives the prize is anyone who finishes the race. Therefore, Paul urges, “So run that you may obtain it.” Then, using himself as an example to make the point of his illustration, he continues: “I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Tim. 6:19.
Evidently the apostle, who surely was a “saved” Christian, believed that even he could be “disqualified” from the race. Yet as long as he continued to ‘run that he might obtain’ the prize, thus remaining in the race, salvation was assured. This is why Christians who remain in the race can be said to ‘have everlasting life.’ But if they should ever quit the race, they are “disqualified,” losing their hold on everlasting life.
