believe that homosexuality is not wrong? You are not a true Christian I am sorry to say, That is not my opinion, but a fact according to the BIBLE, which is GODS word. that does not mean that you hate homosexuals, it just means that you hate the sin. And to say live and let live is wrong because as a Christian we are supposed to let our brothers and sisters know that sins are wrong and will keep them from going to Heaven

God does say to love everyone, and as Christians we should, including homosexuals, but we are not supposed to love their sin, which is the act of homosexuality. Iam a sinner and I know GOD loves me. I get my information from the HOLY BIBLE in case your wondering.

Bruce J, The church didnt invent these things, GOD did, it is in his word meaning he spoke it. Guilt results from sin it is a way of telling you you are doing something wrong. You see people cant stand feeling bad or ashamed or guilty so they make up their own rules or religions that say certain things are not bad, but we know they are.The bible is timeless it is jTRUTH today tomorrow and always, and I am not the one who is judging anyone GOD is ,Im just telling you what his word says.

hate the sin not the sinner that is what we must do and this goes with that we as Christians can not accept into our hearts
and our life the things that go against the very creation as that is an abomination in the sight of God

I do agree and I get my facts fro the Bible too.
the only problem here is that the homosexual fundamentalists will try to have this question deleted because they want everyone to start thinking that Christians believe that it is ok to be homosexual
I will never agree that homosexuality is ok with God because He said it is a sin therefor it is a sin. so what if my answer is deleted or my account is deleted homosexuality will still be a sin against God
sorry about the rambling but I just got my first violation notice and it upset me because it seems to me that everyone on here can say what ever they want to about Christians, but boy let us say we do not agree with what is against or faith and they turn you in. any how my answer that got deleted was

I'm not gonna argue your point about homosexuality, but I find it very bothersome when people on this site take it upon themselves to decide who is a true Christian and who is not.

Christians can be mistaken and misled in some of their beliefs, that does not make their relationship with God any less significant or make them not a Christian. Think of all the different interpretations and beliefs all the different Christian groups have. Do you think any one group as all the exact correct beliefs about everything? Doesn't that mean no one would be a true Christian. You CAN be a Christian and do or believe lots of things, that doesn't mean you SHOULD though. Some beliefs are wrong and some are right according to God's word, but by this theory, a "True" Christian would be someone who has all the exact correct beliefs and interpretations of the Bible. I don't know anyone like that. I agree, the Bible clearly says homosexuality is wrong, but do you really think someone who doesn't think that way is not a Christian. I'm sorry, I understand what you're saying, but that "true Christian" phrase is thrown around too much here.

You'll come to see that those who claim to be Christian and see no problem with homosexuality will question the authority of God's Word in some shape or form. And, of course, no Christian would ever question God's Word.

And you bring out a good point that I think a lot of people miss. Just because we don't agree with the perversion of homosexuality doesn't mean we hate homosexual people. That type of rhetoric just seeks to poison the well. People who use such argumentation are just seeking to paint the Christian in the worst light possible in order to turn other people away from listening to anything he or she has to say on this matter.

Whoa! Slow down there, killer!! Being christian does NOT automatically make one 'perfect', so you need to just climb down off of you high horse. Why don't you leave the judging up to God? He is more suited for the role than you are. Besides, as Christians, we are to hate the sin, not the sinner. And show me exactly WHERE in the Bible it states that homosexuality will keep one from passing through the gates of Heaven.

To whom are you addressing this?

Not all Christians believe that homosexuality is not wrong. Christians are usually accused of homophobia.

"as a Christian we are supposed to let our brothers and sisters know that sins are wrong and will keep them from going to Heaven"

Actually this is a point of contention among the various denominations of Christianity. The major schism between Catholic Christians and Protestant Christians occurred over the debate about behavior versus belief. Catholics believe that you must obey God's law and believe in Christ in order to go to Heaven. Protestants believe that salvation is through faith alone and not by works -- it doesn't matter how you behave as long as you believe. Of course, there have been many more splits since with a great variation in these beliefs.

Again, who are you addressing this to?

Thank you so much for asking this question. God's word clearly says that for a man to lay with another man is a perversion and an abomination to Him. I don't understand how u can have gay Christians. Clearly the word Christian means "Christ-like" and, the last time I checked, Jesus was not a homosexual at all. God made woman for man. In Genesis, God says, "it is not lawful for man to be alone, so I will create a help-meet for him." and so God created woman. Not another man. Its not the order of God. And its so funny how America likes to shout out "free will," and "freedom", but thinks that because we have the ability to do watever we want, that God is going to allow that. God has an established order (read 1 Corinthians 11). And God says in His word, "I am the Lord, and I change not." So God isn't going to modify His order for our carnal sexual urges. He loves us, but there are just some things, like homosexuality, that He doesn't tolerate as the Creator of the world.

Your question has reminded me of something I thought of two nights ago. I am a heterosexual man. I was thinking to myself and convinced myself that no women were interested in me. Next thing you know It let to this purly evil idea that I should get a sex change and become lesbian in order to be happy and meet my need for love and physically pleasure from a woman ( I thought I would look more sexually attractive as a woman and therefore find a woman who felt that way about me). I decided that was a decision that was not of God. Homosexuality is sin and against God. Jesus said you cannot serve two masters. When we repent to God and believe in the name of Christ for forgiveness of our sins, we make a commitment to live righteous lives. We sin everyday on accident as a part of the curse we have inherited from adam and eve, but if we willingly to the same sin over and over again after believing in Jesus, then God will not allow us to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I am very happy letting GOD decide.
I will just live as best I can, and hope I did all I could to help when and where GOD sends me. GOD gifted all humanity with free will, not programming. So I have to hope people know what they are doing is what they freely choose to do, and as I can't use force, that's all I can do.
Also I will not throw rocks from inside my glass house at others. Oh, here's another: I can't see the splinter (peoples faults) of others; because of the beam in my eyes.
What others do in peace and kindness does not reflect on my soul, I am supposed to work on stopping violence and hatred, which does.
Peace.

You are so right on the money...er I mean on the scripture my friend!

Sinners in Jesus day knew they lived lives not pleasing to God and Jesus was so willing to forgive them of their sins. And always Jesus admonished them to"go and sin no more"!

Today in Christianity we are asked to be "tolerant" and allow a person to live in sin. However it is the message of salvation and the Holy Spirit that convicts a person of sin, that Christians should live by and speak. Unfortunately the gospel message is getting lost today and replaced by political correctness, or humanistic thought, just plain tolerance etc.

I believe homosexuality is wrong.
However it is not my job to judge anyone that is not a believer, tha is Gods job. End of conversation.
Now within the Christian community it is our job to judge the behavior of our brothers and sisters in Christ, but there are biblical ways to deal with the sins of someone else. we don't just pick someone apart and throw stones at them under any circumstances.
