Goodness! That was just a cartoon! God as the Man in the sky was also a cartoon! Heaven is in another dimension! God is right here with us! The angles are right here with us! Not in the sky! Likewise so is Satan right here with us, as are his evil spirits, not a red cartoon caricature in the bowels of the earth.

Do you believe they sit on your shoulders and talk to you too!!
How about my theory being that we have been taught this to allow us to understand the NEGATIVE THOUGHTS (Devil) of our own minds and the Positive thoughts (Angel, God ).
The Dalai Lama has a wonderful meditation that teaches more about how to keep these in balance so that the negative never over powers the positive. Which I think is otherwise known as Depression, Mental illness, that sort of thing?
What do you think?
Spiritual lessons are very inspiring & it's as if humankind has always needed guidance from above to explain away the sickness of human nature

No - that little red man is here on earth. He comes in disguise to trick you and lie to you. But he does exist. And as for God being in heaven, well he's here too. He's the one that comforts you, that picks you up, that's there to talk to when you need someone.
