Does the blue ray dvd player wear out the playstation quicker then if you just gamed on it like the playstation 2???

I don't see why the Blu-Ray DVD player would wear the PS3 quicker because the PS3's games use Blu-Ray and when they are in use the PS3 probably works the hardest because there is so much going on in the game. While blaying Blu-Ray DVD it's different, and plus, Sony built a tough console so it's probably not going to break down or anything.

Are you going to be pausing and stopping and starting the movie and "scene selecting" the whole time your watching that I believe is what causes the wear and tear, when the lens has to move back and forth...
