Full grown rabbits and cotton candy. No, they eat dog food. Just like any other dog.

Dry dog food is the way to go. The canned stuff is fine as a treat, but it doesn't do much for their nutrition. I found that a daily fish oil capsule that you can buy anywhere is great for their coats, and they think it's a treat. If you have a young or just active golden, 3-4 cups is perfect.

if you can induce vomiting in any way because chocolate speeds up there heart rate and they have heart attacks. you can actually go to a local pet store like petco , petsmart, or any other place, im not sure where your located and they have a liquid you can give her and she'll vomit. just make sure she drinks lots of water. grass also helps. and don't be worried just call a vet and say "my dog got into about 3 or 4 handfuls of chocolate, and i want to know what will happen to her? also im 13 so i cant bring her in on my own, so would it be a good idea to make her vomit(and how), or should i just wait it out and see what happens?" Most dogs can handle it, but shes pretty big, and thats not really a large amount. But do call the vet and ask for there professional opinion. She might just throw it up on her own. Just make sure you watch her and if she starts to act funny then you should call your parents and the vet again. Or ask a neighbor to take you. some places will allow you to bring in your pet no matter the age in an emergency.

I feed my Golden's Canidae! I dont know who that will help you because it is still dog food. My Golden's do not 3 to 4 cups of this a day. They eat 2 cups per day each and they are very healthy and extremely fit.

any quality commercial dry dog food is fine for a golden retriever. the higher priced stuff tends to produce a bit less animal waste to pick up, but a brand like purina or pedigree will be fine. 3 to 4 cups sounds a little high to me.
a raw egg once in a while in their food helps maintain a nice shiny coat. Talk to your vet about managing tooth tartar, but avoid gimmics and don't bother giving dogs treats unless you need them for training. and if so, use a basic dog biscuit and only for training. dogs are perfectly content to eat regular dry dog food and its the best thing for them.

Don't you know this?? At a quality pet store, they sell quality pet food, and you would feed the dog, some of their dog food after you buy it. Now... "For most Golden Retrievers, they either need to eat ORGANIC from the time they're a puppy OR you need to put them on a 'lamb meat' diet.

Rocks, toys, rubber balls, sneakers, couches, rugs, roller skates.....Teasing....
Let me give you some really good dog food advice:
www.artemispetfood.com
These folks make all natural petfood., All ingredients come from United States farmers. The meat is the same U.S.D.A. approved meat that you and I eat...NO DEAD OR DYING COWS OR HORSES.
FRESH BAKED VEGGIES, AND NO FILLERS, OR EXPANDER'S, OR PRESERVATIVES WITH LONG CHEMICAL NAMES.
I have three dogs, A basset, a border collie and a German shepherd. I also have three cats, and mice for my python.
Every one gets some form of Artemus food.
I give my pregnant and nursing mice a few cat food grains daily to supplement their seed diet!
Every one here is happy healthy, NOT to stinky, and their teeth are ALL in good condition, and no food allergies!
Again read the web site www.artemispetfood.com
I don't work for them, in fact, the food is costly so I wish i did.
In the long run, free of disease and skin allergy, it is worth it!
