i go to a community college and for a project we were asked to come up with a propsal for the pres of the school. It has to be something about global warming and how we can make our school better. Not just like recycling more or everyone buying hybrid cars something reasonable.

Here's a great idea. Levy a tax on students who drive their cars on campus. Place a carbon tax on chemistry students who use the Bunsen burner.
Double the tuition on all students who live in dorms larger than 2,000 sq ft.

At my school we are devekoping an intensive vegetable growing area managed by students and supplying the school restaurant. You can't source more locally than that. No fossil fuels will be used in getting products from grower to user.
